I’m Mackenzie, and I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. I believe therapy shouldn’t feel stiff or scary. We’re humans sharing space and I’m in this with you. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, or “MFT”, I work with both couples and individuals. MFTs are trained with a systemic lens, which means I will not only focus on you and/or your relationship, but I will also take into context the greater systems that surround you.

As a biblically trained counselor, I personally view counseling as a theological matter. Therefore, besides utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, contemporary and more traditional psychotherapies, I believe all counseling deals with questions of redemption, faith, identity and meaning. The cure of souls begins with an interpretation of problems, a proposal for solutions and a goal that defines thriving humanness.
Hi there! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate who provides person-centered counseling for adolescents and adults. I work alongside clients navigating anxiety, grief and loss, substance use, trauma, life transitions, and questions of identity, meaning and purpose. I believe meaningful counseling begins with creating a safe space where clients feel heard, respected, and free to explore their experiences without judgment. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, incorporating ACT, CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing with person-centered counseling, mindfulness, and substance use treatment. For clients who desire it, I also offer faith-integrated counseling, incorporating Christian faith and spiritual practices into the counseling process while respecting each client’s beliefs, values, and goals.
